Today we are excited to launch our NEW and IMPROVED Golden Paste products.
One of the challenges of offering Golden Paste with no additives and preservatives is that the shelf life is only 2-3 weeks. At SpiceOrigin we are keen to always improve our products as long as it is in line with our core values, and natural products with no additives is one of those key values.
I am pleased to announce that we have invested in a new process called High Pressure Processing (HPP) which has extended the shelf life of SpiceOrigin's Golden Paste to a minimum of 3 months.
HPP is a cold 'pasteurisation' system enabling supply of safer more natural foods with extended shelf lives.
The system involves enclosing food in a vessel with clean water and applying intense pressure (up to 87000 psi) which causes sub lethal damage to microorganisms but has minimal effect on the flavour or nutritional attributes of foods and drinks, unlike thermal processes.
